State Visit from Denmark
The King and Queen of Denmark will pay a State Visit to Sweden on 6–7 May 2024 at the invitation of His Majesty The King.
Sweden’s Government will be represented during the Visit by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Minister for Energy, Business and Industry and Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch, Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström, Minister for Schools Lotta Edholm, Minister for Defence Pål Jonson, Minister for EU Affairs Jessika Roswall and Minister for Culture Parisa Liljestrand.

Swedish Armed Forces to contribute forces in Latvia
The Swedish Government has decided to task the Armed Forces with planning and preparing Swedish participation in NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence, Forward Land Forces (FLF), in Latvia. The contribution will consist of a force equalling the size of a reduced battalion of 600 soldiers. It will be part of a brigade led by Canada beginning in early 2025.
Three new national strategies for increased safety and security
The Government has recently presented three new national strategies for increased safety and security in Sweden. These are a strategy for strengthening efforts against violent extremism and terrorism, a strategy against organised crime and a crime prevention strategy on social prevention measures against criminal networks. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson received Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa
On Thursday 25 April, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson received Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa for talks. A joint press conference was held at Rosenbad in the afternoon.
State Visit from Finland
On 23–24 April 2024, the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his wife Suzanne Innes-Stubb payed a State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of HM The King. The President was accompanied by a delegation of government and business representatives.
