Four new ambassadors in Stockholm
The following ambassadors will present their letters of credence to HM The King on Friday, 31 August 2007.
Argentina
Argentina's newly appointed Ambassador Hérnan Massini Ezcurra was born in 1941 and is a career diplomat. He has held the post of Head of the Eastern and Central Europe Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1988. In recent years he has served as Ambassador in Colombia, been Head of Department and negotiator at the foreign ministry.
Rwanda
Rwanda's newly appointed Ambassador Jacqueline Mukangira was born in 1964 and has degrees in law and geography from the National University of Rwanda. After having devoted herself to the teaching profession, in recent years Ms Mukangira has primarily been known for her involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS. She has been a Member of Parliament, in the Rwanda Chamber of Deputies, since 2004.
Japan
Japan's newly appointed Ambassador Akira Nakajima was born in 1947 and is a career diplomat. In recent years his posts have included Plenipotentiary in charge of Inspection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador in Senegal with concurrent accreditation in Gambia, Mali, Mauritania, Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau, and Consul-General in Rio de Janeiro.
Slovakia
Slovakia's newly appointed Ambassador Peter Kmec was born in 1966 and has a Doctor of Law degree from the Comenius University in Bratislava. He was employed in 1990 at the then Czechoslovakian foreign ministry, and in recent years has held such posts as Chief of the Minister's Cabinet at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy in Washington, Deputy Chief of the Minister's Cabinet at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Political Counselor to the OSCE Mission to Georgia.
