The climate dialogue paves the way for a new climate regime

The informal meeting on climate change in Riksgränsen was concluded on Thursday 14 June. Swedish Minister for the Environment Andreas Carlgren summarized the discussions in the Chairman's summary.

- We came further in our discussions and achieved much more than I imagined we would, says Andreas Carlgren.

Press conference after the climate meeting in Riksgränsen

The informal meeting on climate change in Riksgränsen, attended by environment ministers from 30 countries, came to an end on Thursday, 14 June. The outcomes of the meeting were presented at a press conference at the Hotell Riksgränsen. The press briefing was held by environment ministers Andreas Carlgren (Sweden), Sigmar Gabriel (Germany) and Rachmat Witoelar (Indonesia).
Before coming to Riksgränsen, the German Federal Environment Minister Sigmar Gabirel participated in the meeting of the G8 countries in Heiligendamm. Indonesian State Minister for the Environment Rachmat Witoelar will host the upcoming United Nations Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held in December in Bali.
