New Ambassadors in Stockholm

Four newly appointed ambassadors will be presenting their letters of credence to HM The King on Friday 3 November.

Kenya

Kenya's newly appointed Ambassador Purity Muhindi was born in 1960. A political scientist with a special interest in international relations, Ms Muhindi entered her country's foreign service in 1983 and her appointments have included Head of the Asia and Australasia Division at Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Principal Counsellor at the Kenyan Embassy in Paris and Head of the International Organisations and Conferences Desk at Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Georgia

Georgia's newly appointed Ambassador Amiran Kavadze was born in 1951. He is a trained agronomist and has studied biochemistry. Mr Kavadze entered his country's foreign service when Georgia gained independence and in recent years his posts have included Ambassador in London, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador in Bern and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Holy See and Permanent Representative to the International Organisations at Geneva.

Armenia

Armenia's newly appointed Ambassador Ara Aivazian (concurrently accredited from Jerevan) was born in 1969. He entered his country's foreign ministry in 1994 and his posts in recent years have included Ambassador in Argentina, Head of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Latin America Department.

Togo

Togo's newly appointed Ambassador Essoham Comla Paka (concurrently accredited from Berlin) was born in 1960. He holds a BSc in natural sciences from Benin University and a Master of Arts, specialising in Germanic philology, from Saarbrückens University. In 1996-2003, he was Head of the Office of the Minister of Agriculture. Ambassador Paka was appointed as Togo's Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany in 2003.
