Health and medical care, and parental insurance
Minister for Health and Social Affairs Göran Hägglund is responsible for public health except for issues relating to alcohol, narcotics, doping and tobacco. He is also responsible for health and medical, including dental care.

Another area of responsibility is parental insurance and allowances to parents.

At the EU level, he participates at meetings of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council.
