Carl Bildt to take part in conference on judicial system in Palestinian territories

On Tuesday, 24 June, Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt will take part in the Berlin Conference in Support of Palestinian Civil Security and the Rule of Law. The conference is part of the Annapolis process and is intended to strengthen the Palestinian judicial system ahead of the future establishment of a Palestinian state.

Among those attending the conference are Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni and United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The Middle East Quartet (UN, EU, USA, Russia) will meet in Berlin the same day to discuss the situation of the peace process.
