Cecilia Malmström nominated as a candidate for the position of commissioner to the European Commission
Today, the Swedish Government nominated Cecilia Malmström, currently Minister for EU Affairs, as a candidate for the position of commissioner to the European Commission.
- Europe has to deal with a range of decisive issues. For example we have to handle climate change, increased cross-border crime, and make further enlargement possible. The meeting of Nordic and Baltic prime ministers and the 61st Session of the Nordic Council will be held in Stockholm, beginning on Monday and Tuesday, 26-27 October. Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and Deputy Prime Minister Maud Olofsson will chair the meetings.
