Grundtvig
Grundtvig is a sub-programme in the EU's Socrates programme for cooperation in the field of education and addresses all actors (primarily educational providers) within adult education. The objective is to promote European cooperation for lifelong learning and to provide adults with better opportunities for education of a high standard. The Grundtvig framework makes it possible to organise joint projects and attend in-service training courses. In Sweden, responsibility for Grundtvig lies with the Programme Office, Internationella programkontoret för utbildningsområdet.
Nordplus Adult
Nordplus Adult is the Nordic Council of Ministers' mobility and network programme for adult learning. The programme aims to promote cooperation, development and renewal in the field. Grants are awarded for courses and work experience placements in other Nordic countries and for cooperation projects. Further information on Nordplus Adult is available on the International Programme Office's website under the respective programmes.
Nordic network for adult learning
Adult learning is a priority area in Nordic cooperation. In 2004 the Nordic Network for Adult Education, Nordiskt nätverk för vuxnas lärande, (NVL) was established. NVL is a Nordic project commissioned by the Nordic Council of Ministers. NVL's work is based on the Nordic Council of Ministers' action plan for education and research and on the annual action plans of the Cooperation Committee for Adult Learning (SVL) and the Presidency.
