Media accreditation for State Visit from Greece
Media representatives are required to have special accreditation from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in order to be able to cover the State Visit by the President of the Hellenic Republic 20-22 May 2008.
The last day for application was 7 May 2008.
Preliminary programme
President Papoulias will arrive at Arlanda Airport on Tuesday 20 May in the morning. The visit will begin with the traditional cortège by horse & carriage from the Royal Mews, the official welcoming ceremony in the Inner Courtyard at the Royal Palace and a private luncheon with Their Majesties The King and Queen. In the afternoon the President will meet the Speaker of the Riksdag and have talks with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt at Rosenbad. . President Papoulias and His Majesty The King will also visit the Swedish Academy and the Nobel Museum. The programme for Tuesday will end with a gala banquet at The Royal Palace given by Their Majesties The King and Queen.
Wednesday 21 May will begin with President Papoulias attending a Business Forum arranged by the Swedish Trade Council. His Majesty The King and The Crown Princess will accompany President Papoulias to Hammarby Sjöstad and to a luncheon hosted by the City of Stockholm at Stockholm City Hall. Wednesday afternoon there will be a reception for the Greek community in Stockholm. The programme for Wednesday will end with with a Greek reception in honour of Their Majesties The King and Queen.
On Thursday 22 May, President Papoulias and His Majesty The King will continue the state visit in Göteborg. The Swedish Government will be represented by the Minister for EU Affairs, Ms Cecilia Malmström. The programme in Göteborg will include a luncheon hosted by County Governor Mr Lars Bäckström, a visit to Volvo Car Corporation and a visit to the Röhsska Museum of Fashion, Design and Crafts. The programme will end with a reception for the Greek community in Göteborg.

Accreditation cards will be issued at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Press Centre, Fredsgatan 4-6 on:
