The Riksdag continues its work on the Spring Fiscal Policy Bill. Government work on the budget continues at the ministries.

After the Government has presented the Spring Fiscal Policy Bill, the work on the budget continues. Work on allocating funds to individual appropriations within the frameworks for the different expenditure areas continues and the text of the Budget Bill to be presented in September is drafted. Usually there are no major reallocations between expenditure areas at this stage. The ministries submit their proposals to the Ministry of Finance for scrutiny.

The Ministry of Finance also reassesses the economic outlook, which may require changes in some areas of the budget. Not later than 14 May, the Government submits special written communications to the Riksdag describing the results achieved in different areas of activity over the last few years. These communications relate the results to the operational objectives and resources used.
