Culture, the media, leisure activities is a broad field. Visitors to museums and active members of associations as well as media consumers and young people looking for a place of their own are affected by the policies the Government pursues in these matters.

Three ministries - five areas of responsibility

The Ministry of Culture is responsible for the culture, media and sport pages. The responsible minister is Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth, Minister for Culture.

The Ministry of Integration and Gender Equality is responsible for the youth policy and non-governmental organisations pages. The responsible minister is Nyamko Sabuni, Minister for Integration and Gender Equality.

The Ministry of Finance is responsible for Swedish gambling policy. This seeks to achieve a balance between preventing addiction to gambling and taking account of the interest of consumers for a good range of gambling opportunities. The Ministry of Finance is responsible for gambling issues that come under culture, the media and leisure activities.
The responsible minister is Anders Borg, Minister for Finance.
