Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt to meet Cyprus President Demetris Christofias
On Friday 5 September Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will be meeting President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias, who is on an official visit to Sweden. The meeting agenda includes the Cyprus issue and current EU issues.
New Swedish EU Ambassador appointed
Today the Government appointed Christian Danielsson as Sweden's Permanent Representative at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the European Union in Brussels.
"Sweden's Ambassador to the EU is a key person for EU issues, not least during Sweden's Presidency in autumn 2009. Christian Danielsson has extensive experience of European cooperation and a considerable network in Brussels. Areas of responsibility
The Prime Ministers Office directs and coordinates the work of the Government Offices. It is furthermore responsible for coordination of Swedens EU policy, coordinates sustainable development work in the Government Offices and is responsible for constitutional policy and election issues.
