Summary

Safe, accessible health and social care of high quality, based on public need, is the cornerstone of the National Strategy for eHealth. The time has come to move from words to action, and take the National Strategy for eHealth from vision to reality. The national ICT solutions which we have been preparing for many years are now in the final stages of development. They have been procured and are ready to be rolled out on a broad scale. We thus leave behind us a period of technological development and enter the next phase, which will be focused on organisational change.

The status report is a joint product by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR), National Board of Health and Welfare, and Association of Private Care Providers.
