Summary
The Government is presenting measures in the Budget Bill for 2008 to adapt transport to climate concerns. The transport sector currently accounts for a large share of emissions, a share that is also increasing. The Government therefore proposes that carbon dioxide tax be increased by SEK 0.06 per kg carbon dioxide from 1 January 2008.
