EU-Russia summit in Stockholm

On Wednesday, 18 November Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will chair the EU summit with Russia. Minister for Enterprise and Energy Maud Olofsson and Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt will also attend the summit.

The EU will also be represented at the summit by President of the Commission José Manuel Barroso and EU High Representative Javier Solana.

The two priority issues during the Swedish Presidency - climate change and the economic and financial crisis - will be discussed, as will energy issues, foreign affairs, trade policy and human rights.

Bilateral talks between Sweden and Russia will also take place.

Accreditation can be obtained from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Press Centre, Fredsgatan 6, on 17 November between 13.00 and 20.00, and on 18 November between 7.00 and 16.00.

Entry for journalists to Grand Hôtel is via Stallgatan 6 (Royal entrance).
