Summary

In July 2009, the Government adopted a cohesive strategy for gender equality in the labour market and the business sector. The 60-odd measures outlined in the strategy are partially funded by SEK 235 million from the gender equality appropriation. The strategy sets out the Government's overall, long-term policy focus, divided into four separate areas:

  • Combat gender divisions in the labour market and the business sector
  • Promote equal conditions for entrepreneurship
  • Equal participation in working life
  • Equal working conditions
