New ambassador in Cairo

The Government today appointed Malin Kärre as new Ambassador in Cairo, Egypt. Ambassador Kärre will take up her new duties in autumn 2008.

Malin Kärre is currently Ambassador in Vilnius, Lithuania. Ambassador Kärre's previous positions include Head of Human Resources and Head of the Department for Global Cooperation at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She has also served at Swedish embassies in Maputo, Nairobi and New Delhi.
