Minister for Trade Ewa Björling visits China and Japan, 13-18 April

From 13-18 April, Minister for Trade Ewa Björling is visiting China and Japan together with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and Minister for the Environment Andreas Carlgren.

Dr Björling is also leading the accompanying business delegation with representatives from around 35 companies.

During her stay in Beijing between 13-15 April, Dr Björling will meet China' Minister of Commerce Chen Deming, and others. The agenda for talks includes the ongoing WTO negotiations, intellectual rights issues and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Mr Deming and Dr Björling will also launch a joint Swedish-Chinese CSR website.

In addition to this, Dr Björling will visit Ikea together with the Secretary-General of Save the Children Sweden, Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, address the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and take part in a major seminar on green technology.

On Friday 16 April, Dr Björling will travel on to Tokyo. There, her programme will include a meeting with Japan' Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Akira Amari, the opening of the defence seminar 'Stealth at Sea', and a meeting with the Swedish pop group Mando Diao prior to one of their concerts.

14 April, Beijing:
Breakfast meeting speech at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China.
Meeting with China's Minister of Commerce Chen Deming, together with representatives from the business delegation.
Launch of joint CSR website together with Mr Deming.
Opening of Swedish-Chinese high-level forum on CSR.

15 April, Beijing:
Speech about the SymbioCity export platform at a seminar on green technology and sustainable urban development.
Visit to Ikea together with the Secretary-General of Save the Children Sweden, Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, and others.

17 April, Tokyo:
Opening of defence seminar 'Stealth at Sea'.
Meeting with Japan' Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Akira Amari.
Meeting with pop group Mando Diao prior to their concert at Club Quattro.

18 April, Tokyo:
Opening of green technology seminar at the Swedish Embassy.
Meeting with representatives of the Japanese business sector.
